Have you ever wanted to create a special set of cookies that you saw on Pinterest only to be frustrated because you can’t find a cookie cutter to match the picture? Am I alone here? I hope not! But, thanks to my kids, I’m not frustrated anymore. They bought me a 3-D printer and showed me how to use it, and it has changed my baking life! Let me show you how the process works and how it can work for you.
Every order starts with a client’s inspiration. Many times that comes with a picture like this one. I was excited to get started on these cookies, but I didn’t have a number one cutter that would match the size and style of the rocket and planet cutters I had on hand, so I made one. 🙂
I found a line drawing of a “number one” that I liked and scanned it into my computer. Using the magic of software, the computer turned it into a file that the 3-D printer could make into a cookie cutter. The whole process took just a little more than an hour. How easy is that?
